Joyfully Yours with Jazmyn

Jazmyn Creer has a way of moving through the world that feels both intentional and effortless. Based in sunny Los Angeles, she believes in curating a signature style—and a life—rooted in what feels right, not what’s trending. Her beauty philosophy is grounded in consistency, simplicity, and staying true to herself, both online and off.

In our conversation, Jazmyn shares the lifestyle choices behind her glow, the small luxuries that bring her joy, and how faith, kindness, and authenticity have shaped the way she defines beauty

How has your personal standard of beauty evolved over time?

I used to only see it in looks and clothes, but over time I realized it's the way one carries themself. The confidence and ability to speak to people, be kind to people, and treat people with respect is actually the most beautiful thing. Anytime I'm told that my presence is bright, warm, or inviting and personable, I feel the most beautiful. In the social media age, being who you are online and off is true beauty to me.

What do you cherish most about your culture?

Our ability to make something unique and one of a kind, though we often don't get credit and/or often have things stolen and rebranded by others, we know the history and where things originated, as far as we are concerned. I cherish that we have a culture. From our hair to our clothes to our style and dances. We are the culture, baby!

What is a beauty practice in your family that’s been passed down through generations?

Having my hair done in any capacity. My grandma did not play about hair and had no issue asking, "What is wrong with it?" or "What are you about to do about it?" Hahah! I miss her and know she just wanted us to show up as the best version of ourselves.

What lifestyle choices do you attribute to healthy, radiant skin?

Being kind, not being a hater, being authentic, believing in Jesus, drinking water, using skin serums and oils, vitamin D, clean eating, and last but certainly not least—kids. They keep you young and on your toes.

What’s your best skincare tip?

Less is more. I live by the statement: you don't need all the things, you just need the right things. It's so easy to fall into consumerism and think you need 17 products to achieve glass skin or whatever the trend is. The truth is, trying different things and sticking to what works best—while maybe adding a new product here or there—is what makes the difference in the long run. My most simple routine has proved to be my best one. I also believe you can tell how well your skin is doing by how well your makeup lays and applies.

What would your starter pack include?

A lip balm, lip oil, or lip gloss—probably all three. A hydration serum or oil, a playful fragrance, and a killer pair of sunglasses.

"As a mama of 2 under 3, my nighttime routine is everything for me. A night of habit stacking. A Stress Relief packet from Beekeeper's Natural followed by my skincare routine, which of course includes Añuli Skin. Then I’ll spend some time replying to messages, let my devotional audio run, spritz some fragrance, and call it a night. I'm a girl who likes her sleep. Having babies, sleep can be unpredictable for any reason—and though my babies sleep great, I want mine too."

What is one daily dose of luxury you always make room for?

Drinking one of my favorite beverages—an iced latte, sparkling water, or an Olipop. If, for some, reason everything else was skipped (skincare included), one of my favorite bevys will always boost my mood.

How do you celebrate personal wins or achievements?

Start by thanking God, because whatever it is, I already asked or prayed for. Seeing and experiencing those wins in real time is really just a nudge back to Him. I like to get myself a little treat—food, sweets, revisit my Pinterest board, and revel in the experience of another thing being checked off.

Is there a sentimental beauty product or brand that instantly transports you to a joyful moment in your life?

Fragrances and lipstick. My grandmother, mom, and aunt have always loved a good fragrance—from Chanel to Clinique, Marc Jacobs, Bond No. 9, and so many more. My love for makeup and beauty definitely comes from them. The OG frost lipsticks from MAC (Frou), pressed powders—all the things. My life wouldn't be what it is without those staples.
